To reduce the transmission of the Covid-19 virus, I’M Hotel continues the monthly rapid antibody testing of all its employees who continue to work during the pandemic. The testing is being done to ensure that workforce is protected from Covid-19 spread and infection.
Several employees have been working in the frontline as critical skeletal workforce since the property opened its doors to accept displaced and returning OFWs in support of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and other government institutions endeavor to provide assistance to fellow Filipinos worldwide.
I’M Hotel is working with licensed medical practitioners in screening its employees. The rapid antibody testing done through point-of-care test kits detects the existence of IgM (Immunoglobulin M responsible for early immune response) and IgG (Immunoglobulin G responsible for delayed immune response) antibodies from a blood specimen in approximately 10 to 15 minutes. The test is being done strictly following all the guidelines set by the Department of Health (DOH)
A second test for confirmatory testing using traditional kits is also being conducted. The traditional RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription – Polymerase Chain Reaction) test detects the presence of the actual coronavirus within days.
This two-pronged strategy, along with stringent safety and precautionary protocols, will help ensure the health and well-being of all its staff and valued guests.
